Hisar, Haryana · Founded 2018

It began under a tree,
with no furniture
and no funds.

बदलाव एक धीमी प्रक्रिया है, हम सब को मिलकर धैर्य से काम करना होगा। — Change is a slow process. All of us have to work at it together, with patience.

An engineer left his job, gathered the children working at Hisar’s brick kilns, and started teaching them in the open. Eight years on, more than a hundred and fifty students are in full-time school.

Administration is carried by the founding members

एक साथ · The whole centre

एक ही पंक्ति में, एक ही ज़मीन पर।

One row, one ground. Every child stands in the same line, and the schooling, the books and the uniforms cost their families nothing — the most direct answer this foundation has to caste and class.

What we run

Five things, carried
year after year.

Not campaigns. Each of these has run since the year it began, from the foundation’s centre in Hisar.

Foundational education

Free schooling, books and uniforms for slum and dropout children — carried all the way to grade 12 rather than stopping at basic literacy.

Computers, coding and German

A working lab and a foreign-language wing, so a first-generation learner leaves with a skill the job market actually pays for.

Health and women's dignity

School-based Sanitary Pad Banks and hygiene counselling, reaching over a thousand girls and rural women — often the single reason a girl stays enrolled.

04

सहभोज — eating as equals

Regular circular dining where everyone sits on the same floor in the same row. It is not a ceremony; it is the practice the whole organisation is built on.

Trees, and the city around them

Ten thousand saplings planted with local communities, alongside clean-city work — run by the same students who are taught here.

The Charity Shop

They make it.
They price it.
They keep the ledger.

Lippan mirror-work, painted panels and folk pieces, made by the students themselves and sold at stalls across Hisar and at Panjab University, Chandigarh. Every rupee goes into the maker’s own college fund.
